The archive can be found in The Dorset County Museum, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XA. It is housed in the Sylvia Townsend Warner/Valentine Ackland room, with some material on display in the Literary Gallery. The archive contains diaries, notebooks, manuscripts of prose and poetry, letters, photographs, as well as published works and a selection of books from their library. There are also pictures and chattels from their house at Frome Vauchurch.
It is not an open library. Visits need to be arranged not less than a month in advance. Written permission is required via:
