Welcome to Ancient Civilizations of the Americas home page! This Ring was designed to bring together sites that specialize in the various forms of anthropology of the Americas on the internet.

If you maintain such a site we would be proud to include you as a member.

 

Site Requirements:

No racism, hateful comments or violence.

No Pornography

Site must be safe for all eyes, all ages.

Site must have some personal content, no sites with only links please.

Your site must have a suitable theme to be included. These may include one or many forms of anthropology such as archaeology, paleo, lithics, history, culture etc.

The next major point is accuracy. Since one of the goals of the ring is to battle misconceptions about anthropology of the Americas we expect sites to be accurate in the material they present.

Step One

Submit site to Ancient Civilizations of the Americas webring.

Password:		 Please choose a password. (Don't forget it!!)
Keywords: Enter up to 20 keywords to describe your site.
Description: Enter a short description of your site.

 

Step Two

You will recieve an Email with a unique Site ID number, (Write it down,) your Site characteristics (As you submitted them,) and a message on what to do next.

 

 

Step Three

Cut and paste the HTML code ( a link to the code is given with the example below ) to your page, filling in the blank spots with your own information, (your name and email address, and your site ID)

Download the two ring graphics: next.gif and previous.gif. DO NOT LINK TO THESE GRAPHICS! COPY THEM TO YOUR HOMEPAGE DIRECTORY. Violation of this rule will cause your site to be removed from the ring.

 

PLEASE NOTE! It is VERY importland that you EITHER post the HTML code on the page you submitted it under OR put the code on a seperate page with a clear link to that page from your main page so that the viewer can easily continue along the ring when they done at your site. To reduce viewers download time of your site we strongly recomend the latter method.

!!!!!PLEASE NOTE!!!!! Where it says YOUR_ID_HERE you must replace with your site ID number ( there are six of these ).

Where it says You@Youraddress you replace with your E-MAIL address ( there is one of these ).

Where it says, Your Name Here, you put your name or the title of your site ( there is one of these ).

 

If you have any trouble with this just E-MAIL me with your site ID# and I will send you the edited html code ready to paste into your page.

Step Four:

After you have added the HTML Code to your page and uploaded it, go to it and make sure it works. Then Email Me and ask to be added to the ring, make sure to include your Sites URL and your Site ID.

 

That's All! Your finished! Now all you have to do is wait for an Email from me telling you that your Site has been added to the ring.
