I
have been painting and drawing since I could hold a pencil. I put my artwork
on hold for many years to dedicate myself to raising my children.
For years I produced art in various forms and gave most of my works away
as gifts. I have seen so many wondrous works out there by so many
others, and I ask myself, why would someone be interested in my work when
there are a vast array of more predominant Artists? Then my higher
self started talking and I started listening! My higher self said, "Come
on, You can do as well" So if you Notice my work and if you like
it, I do hope you will tell others and share it --- Because that is what
I do it for --- to share and hopefully to bring a bit of joy to those who
see, I have worked very hard on these designs, so I hope you enjoy!
But also, I ask that my visitors respect my copyrights, as I have .
I Love
doing Wildlife paintings, I feel the animal's spirit as I see him (or her)
coming to life on my canvas! It's in the eyes, you see the soul of
the magnificent beast! I concentrate on the eyes the most, so I guess
it's no surprise when people comment so often on the way I bring out their
eyes. We can learn so much about life from just observing wildlife. Nature
is another Love of mine, I often say to myself as I look out on the beautiful
mountains, "My, but God (and Goddess) were truly the master Artists!"
If I could just simulate but a small percentage of what they have done,
then I will be but a humble messenger in representing the beauty we have
in our lives. Along with the beauty of the Mother earth, is the fascination
I have with the "little people" the keepers of the woods and waters.
As a child I would go out walking in the woods and I was sure they were
there, somewhere, I couldn't see them but I was sure they were with me
all around me! I was so excited about that, so I started drawing what I
thought they might look like. So now every time I find a book or anything
to do with them, I just have to have it!
People
are another interest of my work. I especially love painting the weathered
wrinkled faces of the Elders of the Native Americans. There was so much
lost since the white man came and took away their lands, their ways and
their rights, for they took away an important part of everyone! But you
can still see so much of that in those wonderful old faces!
Like the
Faeries and the other "Little People" I too have a touch of mischief, and
I like to put touch of whimsy into my Trompe L'Oeil and Murals! Very discretely
of course, I have made it one of my signatures! So when I'm rich and famous,
you will all be able to say "I knew her when she was just starting out"!
So for now, please enjoy looking around and know that I am sorry that some
of these details cannot be seen in the web pages but you'll still get an
idea !
