Milligan's Island: Home Page
Welcome! I'm a person who wears a lot of hats: wife, mom, taxi driver,"domestic
engineer", veterinarian, artist, and now, teacher! I graduated in December 1999
from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs with a Bachelor of Arts, Visual
Arts Studio degree. In August 2001, I started teaching the art, art history,
and computer classes at James Irwin Charter High School in Colorado Springs.
In addition, I design graphics, programs, tickets, forms, and the website for
the high school and the new middle school (opening August 2003). Until April
2003, I was also the computer and network guru, installing and troubleshooting
the server, printers, and software for the computer lab (TWICE!), and installing
the new grading program for the school. We've just linked our grading system
to the Internet--a big help for parents! I'm also involved with the Digital
Design (Newspaper and Yearbook) classes; I'm the advisor for National Honor
Society; and I'm a founding member of the JC (Judicial Committee), which hears
cases of student discipline. We just finished the updates on next year's student
handbooks, and I'm planning the curriculum for the art history classes at the
middle school level. This website is dedicated to my art and my family, and
is constantly being updated. Enjoy the visit, and come back again!
