hey there everybody. i'm jess and i'll be yer tour guide fer today. i'm a highschool student at Ballard High School in Louisville, Kentucky.
pity me.
i've done this whole webpage thing before and i've learned that it takes a while to actually make it something worth looking at. if you'd like to take a lil dip in to what this page may eventually resemble, you can head on over to my other webpage, The Second Coming of MuzicFreak, and take a look around there.

so i guess this is going to be one of those generic self-absorbed all about me pages that nobody really cares about fer right now. but i'll be building this place up into sumthing targeted at one er two things only, and not everything and anything under the gay rainbow like my other page.

so i guess i should start on some of the things that float my boat now, huh?

music!! anything Sarah McLachlan, Ani DiFranco, Tori Amos, the murmurs, Liz Phair, Bif Naked, Alanis Morissette, Chantal Kreviazuk, Melissa Etheridge, Indigo Girls, Fleetwood Mac, Lunachicks, DiDo, Joni Mitchell, Jill Sobule, Lauryn Hill, Sheryl Crow, Sophie B. Hawkins, Melenie C., Jewel, Tracy Bonham, Garbage...just about any womyn artist out there today! and not only that, but recently i've been getting into the angry testaterone music of KoRn and Limp Biskit, not to mention the bouncy beats of Blink 182.
movies!! *boys don't cry*, *gia*, *all over me*, *high art*, *boys on the side*, *heavenly creatures*, *empire records*, *bound*, *foxfire*, *chasing amy*, *american beauty*, *dazed and confused*--some of the best movies out there.
*pride*!! i'm always on the lookout fer anything and everything queer.
Gay and Lesbian Issues!! well, duh!
the phone!! alltho i'm not really on the phone as much as i used to be(phone bills do add up people!), jabbering away on the phone is still one of my favorite things to do.
the internet!! yes, i admit it--i'm a nethead(alltho recentlly not a big one). i'm constantly on AOL talking with my loverly, loverly mudkids er on netscape updating my many many webpages like this one here.
my girlfriend!! alas, i've gone and done it again. yep, kiddies. yers truely has gone and fallen again. my loverely chicken gordita, Kaite, is just an awsome awsome chica, and i couldn't help myself. :) if you knew her, you'd guys be doin the same. but then i'd be beatin yer asses, so don't try it! :)
my mudkids!! my darling, darling mudkids. my pride and joy. what can i say about you all? i love you to death! fer those of you who have no idea what/who i'm talking about, you can learn a lil bit more about my pride and joy at My mUdKiDs! page!

note: so i figured out what that door does-it'll take you back out into the village. so if yer leaving me, don't let the door hit you on the way out!

hm. so what else can i ramble about that you all might find interesting?
one thing people always ask me is about my sexual orientation.
"are you gay? are you straight? are you bi? what are you??"
that my friends is really quite simple:

i'm queer.
(well, one would certinly hope that you could figure that out considering this is the Gay & Lesbian area of this joint and my member name is QueerGrrl, but hey, i thought i'd reitterate my queerness fer all the slow ones out there.)

i'm at a point in my life where i'm not quite sure about which team i'm gonna play on, but i know that i am very much attracted to other womyn.
so at this point most people would be like, "so yer bi."
not quite.
i've decided as of right now, i have no label.
i mean, what's with labels anyhow? it just makes everything more difficult in the long run.
so i'll just tell you what i told my mother--"i don't know what i am. i'm not gay, i'm not bi, and i'm sure as hell not straight. all i know fer sure is that i am queer in some way, shape er form."
speaking of my mother, i am out to both my parents and my lil 11 year old brother. not to mention several friends and just about everybody over at good ole Atherton High School.

my brother....now there's a story. i think just to be cute i'll share the story of one day i had with him. i told this to my dear friend maggie and she thought it was just the most hilarious thing she'd every heard in her life! so, here it goes:

one day while at my mother's house(my parents are divorced by the way), 
my little brother was lying on the couch in the living room. well, i had
said sumthing to him and he had retorted with, "you suck!" and i was just 
about to say sumthing when he went on with, "you suck girls!!". 
keep in mind this is my  10 year old brother at the time. so i'm 
just standing there in the living room with this astounded look on my
face while he's lying there laughing. and then the cute lil thing turns 
and yells into the kitchen--
                   "moooooom...jessica's a lesbiaaaaaaaan"
so at that point i just flick the lil brat off and turn to go to my room. 
i'm not even half way down the hallway when i hear him scream to the 
kitchen again--
       "moooooom....jessica flicked me off and she's still a lesbiaaaaaaan"
i take that as my cue to exit to my room where i end up busting out 
laughing. and then not two seconds later i hear my mother from the kitchen 
yell both of us to come to the table cuz dinner was ready.

*sigh* gotta love the family.

so yeah, there's a lil sumething to keep you entertained while i make this page a lil better.

oh! i've just thought of sumthing else to put up here to keep you entertained....

yep. there's me, QueerGrrl herself. that was taken this past summer at a hotel in Venice, Italy. *sigh* i miss it...

and as if one of me wasn't enuff, here's a picture of me thru the eyes of my anime obsessed friend, Jessica...
