FORTUNE RANGERS FC 25 Bardfield Basildon Essex (01268) 477679 UNDER 14s Boys Fortune Rangers are a new youth football club. We formed because some parents and boys were dissatisfied with some of the more established local clubs. We feel there is a need for a friendly, well organised small club who's priorities are in fair play and respect for others while having fun learning the game in a competitive and safe environment. In our first season we are looking to start with one team of under 14s boys playing in the Thundermite League. What you can expect from us... We will promote competitive football in a safe and enjoyable environment. We will aim for high standards in developing boys' individual skills and team play. Team managers and coaches will attend suitable training courses as recommended by the county association. We will ensure all club officials are suitably trained for their roles. what we want from you... FAIR PLAY Everyone connected with the club will: Show an understanding of, and respect for the laws of the game. Support the belief that the game should be played in an enjoyable and positive way. Behave on and off the field in a sporting manner towards all others involved (players, officials or spectators) irrespective of results. PLAYERS We are looking for dedicated and hard working team players. Boys will be expected to attend training and matches every week. Boys will be expected to understand and follow the Club Code of Conduct. PARENTS The club welcomes the support of parents particularly on match days and with fund raising. Managers and Coaches must place the well being and safety of each player above all other considerations. Ensure that each player is correctly dressed with the necessary safety equipment, shin-pads etc, before being allowed to play. Get treatment for an injured player immediately and co-operate fully with other specialists in the best interests of the player. Never either physically or mentally push children beyond their abilities. Encourage and guide players to accept responsibility for their own behaviour and performance. Never condone unacceptable behaviour by not acting. Read the Laws of the Game and assist your players in understanding them. Check that you have the necessary equipment, documentation and first aid equipment before you leave for a match or training. Always be prompt, courteous and correct when dealing with League Officials, opposition Managers, Referees and Assistant Referees. Read, understand and be aware of your responsibilities as laid down in your League Handbook. Set a good example to players, parents and spectators at all times by actively promoting the Club Code of Conduct. Club Code of Conduct Players: Play for the fun of football, not just to please your parents or Manager. Play by the Laws of the Game. Learn the laws and you will be a much better player. Never argue with the Referee or Assistant Referee's decisions. Control your temper and use your energies for playing better football. Play well for yourself and the team. Your team's performance will benefit and so will your own. Be a good sport. Recognise all good play, whether by your team or your opponent's team. Treat all players as you would like to be treated. Do not interfere with, bully or take unfair advantage of any player. Remember that the aims of the game are to have fun, improve your skills and feel good. Co-operate with your Manager and Coach, team mates and opponents, for without them you will not have a game. Promote the Club Code of Conduct. Club Code of Conduct Parents / Guardians / Carers: Do not force an unwilling child to participate in football. Remember children are involved in football for their enjoyment not yours. Encourage your child to play to the Laws of the Game and not to argue with Referees and other Officials. Teach your child that honest effort is more important than victory so that the result of each game can be accepted without undue diasappointment. Turn losing into winning by helping your child work towards skill improvement and good sportsmanship. Never ridicule or yell at your child for making a mistake or losing a game. Remember that children learn best by example. Applaud good play by your team and by members of the opposition. Do not question the Referee's judgement or honesty. Remember he/she is only human with the same feelings as you and, like you, sometimes may make an honest error. Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from children's football. Recognise the value and importance of Managers and Coaches who are all volunteers. They give their time and resources to provide football for your child. Read the Laws of the Game to understand better what you are looking at and commenting on. Promote this Code of Conduct. Club Code of Conduct Spectators: Remember that children play organised sports for their own enjoyment. They are not there to entertain you. Be on your best behaviour. Do not use profane language or harass, physically or verbally, players, managers, coaches, referees or assistant referees. Remember that children learn best by example. Applaud good play by your team and by members of the opposition. Show respect for your team's opponents. Without them there would be no game. Never ridicule or yell at a child for making a mistake or losing a game. Condemn the use of violence and verbal abuse. Respect the Referee and Assistant Referees' decisions.
