Introduction
Our History Day Project:
The history of the Semiconductor
By: Chris Biniarz & Ryan Wagner
Imagine waking up in the morning to your digital alarm clock. You turn it off, get dressed, and make yourself toast for breakfast in your new toaster. It remembers your preferences and times it digitally. You finish breakfast and get in your car to go to work. You put in your favorite CD and enjoy the ride.
What do all these things have in common you ask?
They all contain semiconductors to control their functions. The car can't function without the different readings taking place otherwise it'll overheat or run out of gas. The CD player uses several different decryption methods to read the cd and play it back; all stored on a semiconductor.
My site will teach you about the history of the semiconductor, it's uses, it's effects on the world, and how it changed our lives forever.
