In my heart I am Indian, Wild and free.
But in this world, It was not to be. Sun Father, Moon Woman, Earth mother,
Guiding me through my day, But, Somehow, In this world I lost my way. Great Spirit,
Far and wide, Please come to me and be my guide. Take me as your daughter and you'll
be proud of me, And then I shall become an Indian on the land that's Wild and free, Where
for me happiness shall always be. Written by-Brandy Reidnauer |
My heart soars, as if on eagle's wings, Soaring on the winds of the
seasons, Summer, winter, fall and spring. Looking north, south, east and west, Searching for
more than just a place to rest. Being carried over mountains, hills, valleys, and streams,
forever clinging to the eagle's wings that will carry me closer to my dreams. Not ever wanting
to give up the flight, My heart will continue the search, with sun by day, and the moon's glow
by night. Knowing in my heart that there is a place of rest, My search will not be over, Until
I find the specials place where two hearts nest. Written by-Linda Waterfall Maroney. |
The sun and sand called out to her,
"Betrayal!" They chanted in fiery unison. He was gone forever more, never to return, to reclaim.
The sun burned his words of defeat into her brain; Hot, dry wind lashed at her tormented flesh.
They jointly mocked her sufferings, They chided her naivete, her folly, her dreams; Without warning,
The time for turning back had come. Her heart was rent by loss, by needless sacrifice.. At last, The
sun slowly sank into the earth's golden bosom, Releasing her from her nightmares and unbearable agonies.
The zephyr winds blow softly now, Releasing her from their stinging cruelty. It had ended, as suddenly and
painfully as it had begun. Her mind pleaded retreat, but her warring heart rebelled, Against the torment
involved--in the last farewell... Author unknown. |
I, my father in that unseen place,
cry from the cheeks of my mother's face. To know your help, to run my race, My wound aches
within, can flesh indure a soul's torment, Or words that calm when breath's all spent? No
heart can beat when it's been rent, The loss of my friend. Not death but life, Now steals my
day. and night so bright I lose my way. I act these lines of one dark play; To pay the unknown
sin. In mercy's hope I call your name. Let love not be my greatest shame, But I shall live again.
Written by--Mark Abbott | I thought you savage
you thought me uncaring, Desire has a mind of it's own as passion brings forth sharing. Your hands
so strong upon me, warm and gentle as they seek, A desperate Quake begins within me, I stand vulnerable
and weak. You proceed to imprison my heart, All my resistance is torn asunder, I can see only you before
me, and hear your voice, that sounds like thunder. To you, I will constantly come running, Of shame, I
have not a trace. Your open arms are a haven, I charish the feel of our wild embrace. Written by--Sheila Bilbrey |
