| The Academy is a not-for-profit institution established to offer an alternative to university education in advertising, art, design and multimedia. The President of the Senate is Ken Kato, arguably Australia's most prominent designer. The Australian Academy of Design is affiliated with a major Australian university to enable it to offer Bachelors Degree in Advertising, Fine Arts, Graphic Design or Multimedia with full credit for previous studies in Diploma courses. The Academy is also affiliated with major overseas institutions to provide students with overseas study and exchange opportunities. The studios at the Australian Academy of Design provide opportunities for students to study in a wide range of visual arts and design. The computer labs are fully networked with industry standard computing equipment and software. |
