Web Application (Promotion) / Flash Game
Project: AFI's 100 Movies... 100 Thrills promotion Sweepstakes AFI's 100 Movie...100 Thrills
Date: May 2001
Client: The Regan Group
Objective: This project is similar with the "Third Rock From the Sun Sweepstakes". However, it is less complex and was done in less than two weeks.
Note:

Due to the good response of the scratch off game, it is being reused in this promotion.

Project: NBC Studio Third Rock From the Sun promotion Sweepstakes 3rd Rock from the Sun
Date: March 2001
Client: The Regan Group
Objective:

Deliver entertaining sweepstakes website through the use of Macromedia Flash.

Integrated backend database with Macromedia Flash to create dynamic individual scratch-off game piece.

Automated background changes and daily episode description through the use of ASP and Flash.

This is just a demo, you can by pass the registration by clicking the Register button.
Also, web layout might be shifted a little bit because Fortunecity has added code for banners.

Note: A unique Flash scrach-off game was created for this project. It's the best, most robust and customizeable scratch-off game currently available in the world.

Project: First American Mortgage Website FAMC Splash page
Date: March 2001
Client: First American Mortgage Website
Objective: Design E-Commerce website that accommodate dial-up users with the strategy of graphic reuse in the navigation throughout the website.

Provide atmosphere of finance/mortgage company while preserve the heritage feel of Native American in the website.
Note: This site uses the Liquid form design which allow the website to accommodate any screen resolution that is larger than 800x600.

Project: Hampshire Pet Products Website HPP Splash Page
Date: January 2001
Client: Hampshire Pet Products
Objective: Design optimized fast loading B2B corporate website.
Implement consistent and easy to use navigation throughout the website.

Highlight corporate objective and philosophy through the Macromedia Flash Splash page.
Note: This site uses the Liquid form design which allow the website to accommodate any screen resolution that is larger than 800x600.

Project: Hampshire Technology Group Website - Flash version HTG Flash site
Date: September ~ October 2000
Client: Hampshire Technology Group
Objective: Design broadband friendly Macromedia Flash version of the corporate website.

Design unique yet user friendly navigation systems and interfaces that reflect the innovative technology feel of the company.

Project: Christmas Greeting Card
Date: Dec 2000
Client: N/A
Objective: This is a personal project and experiment of creating an electronic greeting card.

It was mean to use to send to relatives, friends and co-workers.
Note: The original greeting card was published as projector.

To reduce download time, I have embeded it as flash file in this portfolio.

Project: Paris of the Plains The Jazz Age in Kansas City 1920-1940 Online Exhibition Paris of the Plains
Date: August 2000
Client: University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC)
Objective: Deliver rich media exhibition content using Macromedia Flash while preserving the historical feels of website.

Design unique but easy-to-use navigation of the website for scholars from all around the globe.
Note: This website was launch in conjunction to the the physical exhibition in the Millar Nichols Library of UMKC for the celebration of Kansas City 150th Anniversary.

Music Composition / Desktop Music Production (MIDI Sequencing)

Project: Music Arrangement - Space (738 Kb - 0:47 minutes)
Date: 1996
Client: N/A
Objective: This short clip was used for the Public Speaking class presentation that I took in my college. I gave a speech about Desktop Music Production and used this clip to demonstrate the capability of computer music.

The melody was taken from a short music clip and was re-arranged then sequenced to enhance the music and effects.
Note: You need an MP3 player in order to listen to the music.

Project: Music Composition - The Graduation Bell (6.17 Mb - 6:44 minutes)
Date: Melody - 1994, Orchestration and MIDI Sequencing - 1995
Client: N/A (For leisure and self improve purpose)
Objective: The Melody was composed in 1994 during my highschool graduation year.

It was orchestrated and made into MIDI in 1995. Yamaha Corp. developed a new format of MIDI called XG around that time. I had the chance to obtain the DB50XG Daughter board and improved my Desktop music production skill by getting further into the new format and explore the world of sound sampler tweaking through the use of System Exclusive message.
