Famous African American Writers After World War II

From World War II on, a great majority of African American writers have been writing about the same things, which center around the theme of Black Pride and the injustices commited against their ancestors. All of these African American writers when through an advancement period which included African American writers spreading throughout all genres of literature. This period was called the Black Arts Movement, and it spanned from around the end of WWII to present day. The authors that you are going to learn about all had an effect on this movenment.
