WE NEED EXTRAS FOR A SHORT FILM:
"Devil Stole my Joy"

On Saturday December 4th extras are needed for a scene that is supposed to take place in a 1940s dancehall.
We're looking for people who can dance (swing), but if you can't, don't worry - please come anyway.
Extras won't be paid, but there will be music, refreshments, and plenty of dancing in between takes.
And a fun time will be had by all.

WHEN?
The scene will be filmed  beginning at 2:00 p.m. You can plan to be there for two and a half to three hours.  If you can stay later than that, we would love you for it.  If you can't get there until later, please come out anyways.  Our crowd shots will be done first, and later shots will require less people, but we want as many people as we can get.

WHERE?
We will be filming at Hubbard Hall on the Texas Women's Univeristy campus in Denton.
How do you get there, you ask?

DIRECTIONS:
Take I-35 north towards Denton.  Take exit 464.  Keep going a few miles.  You will go underneath a  railway bridge.  Stay to the right and keep going.  The street you are on is now called Bell.  Go past the large Morrison Corn Kits building (has a big sign).  Keep going.  Look for the intersection where Bell and Mingo separate.  Keep going on Bell (left at the stop light) towards the University.  At Administration Drive, turn left into the visitor parking.  Hubbard Hall is right in front of you.  It has a fountain in front and three Christmas trees.

ATTIRE:
If you have vintage style clothes from the 40s - GREAT!  Wear them!
If you don't, don't worry - just wear something nondescript, TIMELESS - a suit and tie for guys, with dark pants, and plain-looking dresses for girls (no floral prints, unless it's vintage).

THANK YOU!  HOPE TO SEE AS MANY AS POSSIBLE OUT THERE!

What the heck is the film about?:
"DEVIL STOLE MY JOY" is a folk tale that takes place in the 1940s.   In it, a young farmer's son is dating the local preacher's daughter, until one day when a slick string salesman (actually the Devil in disguise) from the city comes rolling in to town with tales of wonder about how great the city is.  Lilly, the  preacher's daughter, runs off to the city, struck with the idea that the city is a very glamorous place.   Heartbroken but determined (and loopy with love), her beau John  races to the city to find her.

"Devil Stole My Joy" will be approximately 30 minutes in length.  The film is being made as a demonstration in order to secure funding for a feature-length version.
