Welcome to the twisted mind of the Lord Snow

You can think of this place as simply a digital slice of my conscious mind...

As of now, this site is now under construction. I've decided to stop putting it off and putting it off and putting it off with the realization that if I continue to do so, nothing will get done.

What will change?

I'm going to start looking into using stylesheets to avoid the hassle that I've been trying to think through of changing the text color for all of these pages.

The header image has been in use for too long, need to find something new or work around using one altogether.

Joyce has suggested a less gloomy feel to the place and I've yet to decide if I want to change the color scheme at all. Thing is, Maddox, the man behind The Best Page in the Universe (google it) raised a very good point when he said that the darker screen/layout was better for your eyes and monitor than a bright one or, god forbid, a flashy, epilepsy inducing one. Why I completely neglected that same advice when choosing a text color that didn't rape your retinas until Joyce remarked upon it? I have not a single clue. But here's to trying to remedy that retroactively. The last major site change I did was quite a long time ago now and involved the deletion and merging of the three sections I had before into one. I know for sure that in some way or another, the Days section as it stands now will disappear. Not only do I find the writing in it rather...well, inane and boring for lack of more diplomatic terms, I find that having it around becomes an excuse for me to not write anywhere else, in short, I write lots there as the easy way out. My writing will not improve one bit if I continually harp on the dear diary styled entries that have become so prevalent on the internet in our culture today. For much the same reason, I'm considering discontuing the use of Xanga and just sticking to this.

By and large, in small ways at first but hopefully larger ways in the days to come, I hope to return this entire website and the premise behind it back to what it started as: a method of putting certain thoughts or events into memory so that I myself won't forget them, not simply because I want it read. I can't do that if I keep writing about basically nothing but how my day went.

So yeah, there will be some changes.

Buying my own webspace isn't a real option or even interest of mine as I don't think this warrants one but the question of whether I'll overwrite the files here, or if I'll move to a new space and leave these files here intact, is still up in the air.

If you have any thoughts about this, hit me up with them, I like creative input.
