AND NOW FOR SOMETHING ABOUT THE ROCK N' ROLL HQ'S CREATOR:
Hello, my name is Randy and I live in Yoakum, Texas (pop. around 5,600 and dropping!). Yoakum is located near Austin where I usually go to shop and to get some Dukin' Donuts. I have 2 brothers: Ray "the swiby" & BIG "watcha gonna do about it" JOHN. I'm a sci-fi fan (Dr. Who,Star Trek) and I listen to hard rock (AC/DC,Motley Crue). I have been fooling around with computers ever since I starting playing games on the VIC-20 in school. I then graduated up to the Commodore 64, then up to the Amiga(which still today I have respect for), and then finally up to PC.
WEBSITE HISTORY: In 1997, The Rock N' Roll HQ came online. At that time, the website only consisted of the introduction above, 9 bands, 5 website links, and a music news column which has long been discontinued. It had no flashy graphics, just plain old text. I have added more information little by little over the years. In 2000, it has 3 pages full of information and other special features. I also have recieved many, many emails from visitors from all over the country. As we enter the year 2001, this will mark 4 years for this site being online. I just would like to say "thank you" to everyone for visiting. Look forward to more additions in 2001 and beyond!

A Tribute To Rock 'N Roll

I can still remember when I heard my first rock tune and I thought to myself, WOW this is pretty cool. This is just a small list of some outstanding rock bands and although some of the bands have broken up over the years they should not be forgotten. These bands really did put the ROCK in rock & roll. Also listed is a link to one band related web site (where available) where you can find more information on the band like updated info, complete band history, latest tour dates, song lyrics, and more.
NOTE: If you are a toy collector, don't miss the Ozzy Osbourne figure! Cloaked and wielding a crucifix, Ozzy comes with his own stained glass diorama base littered with blood-stained bats and doves. OUT NOW!
