A Y2K Quilter Goes to Festival
Back to Home

DAY ONE (FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD)

It's Day One for our intrepid quilter at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas. First, she has to drag herself out of bed and actually get there. Check out this tale of getting to Festival, hotel woes, Aussie fabric, brain freeze, and crashing AOL parties.

DAY TWO (SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 4TH)

Day One has come and gone. Has the thrill of Festival worn off? Will our fair quilter make it to all three of her lectures? Will a mysterious Japanese media woman seemingly interview and photograph our white-gloved quilt angel for a quilt magazine? Day Two is a tale of stalking quilters, breaking the rules, skipping lectures, and paying WAY too much for a jalepeno-infested taco salad and a Coke.

DAY THREE (SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5TH) **COMING SOON**

The final day of Festival is here. Find out of our hunter quilter is able to sniff out that elusive Alexander Henry Christmas fabric she is looking for. Day Three finds our tired quilter wrapping up her shopping and saying "good-bye" to our beautiful quilt exhibit. Read all about the joy and the tears, the agony and the ecstasy, the energy and the "Oh, gosh, my body feels like it has been beaten with blunt instruments from head to toe."
