Interesting But Useless Y2K Exhibit Facts

Number of charms: over 50,000
Number of siggies: over 1,000
Number of countries swapped with: 80

A fat quarter will yield 40-45 (2.5") squares or 35-40 (3") squares.

A FQ of Debbie Mumm fabric is an even exchange for a squishie from a foreign country.

If all of the charms in this exhibit were placed end to end, they would nearly stretch the length of two football fields.

Our exhibit quiltmakers represent 16 US states plus Australia.

Each quiltmaker had to make a minimum of 80 swaps for one Y2K quilt.

Texas and Iowa tie for the state with the most number of Y2K exhibitors with 3 each. Massachusetts and Ohio come in second with 2 each.

Mary Ellen Zeitz's Y2K quilt was featured in the Winter 1999 issue of QUILT Magazine.

Judy Peterson's Y2K quilt will be featured in a 2001 issue of QUILT Magazine.

Antarctica is the only continent not represented in this exhibit.
