"Y2K Quilts: A Millennial Celebration"

"Sister Synergy" hand pieced will be hand quilted Quiltmaker: Eden Meyer Hunt Atlanta, GA Artist's Statement: "This quilt is made up of 80 starbust blocks, each made from 25 fabric swatches obtained by swapping with other 'sister' quilters over the Internet. The blocks are hand pieced and joined together with a solid background color to form an overall pattern. Each block is interesting and unique all by itself, while the overall pattern shows that the 'sum is greater than the parts' - much like the women who made it possible: hence the name, 'Sister Synergy'." This quilt was originally selected as one of the Exhibit Quilts. Its owner will be unable to complete the quilt on schedule and so has removed it from the Exhibit.
