"Y2K Quilts: A Millennial Celebration"

"Ameriquilt (with Star Spangled Siggies)" (104" by 104") machine pieced hand quilted Quiltmaker: Karen R. Veiga Middleboro, MA Artist's Statement: "This quilt is the result of many Y2K swaps, and it consists of 2000 pieces. The star field has a signature square from each of the 50 states, many including population and establishment date of their town. The quilt is machine pieced and is my first attempt at hand quilting. The background is alternating rows of reds, whites, tans, blues, and a row of siggies set in a diamond pattern."
