"The Y2K Quilt" (96" by 96") machine pieced machine quilted Quiltmaker: Heather Jean Taylor Ames, IA Artist's Statement: "25-Patch--9-Patch--9-Patch with signatures on the back. Contains 2000 charms plus one label. This will be my second completed quilt. I will sleep under it 12/31/99. In addition to swapped fabrics, there are a few from childhood sewing projects and family members. I pieced the top during my first semester of graduate school; it marks the beginning of my transition from conventional quilts to less organized original work."
