I did my MBBS and MS (Ortho) from Medical College ,Trivandrum. I went to England in 1995 and obtained training in Arthroscopy (key hole surgery), Joint replacement (for arthritis ) Shoulder surgery etc from Manchester ,England.

I passed FRCS (Gen) in 1996 and the FRCS (Orth) in 2001.

[FRCS (Orth) is different from the general FRCS because it is an exit examination. Only doctors who have undergone minimum of 4 years of proper training in England will be allowed to appear for this exam.]

I then worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon (Locum ) at Salford Royal Hospital in Manchester for about a year and Tameside General Hospital, also in Manchester for 6 months before returning to Trivandrum.

I am one of the few doctors in Kerala to have the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) training.

I have obtained special training in the following –

1.Arthroscopy (key hole surgery ) of Shoulder, knee, ankle, wrist etc.

2.Joint Replacement of Hip, Knee, Shoulder etc.

3.Shoulder surgery (for dislocation, fracture, rotator cuff tear, frozen shoulder etc).

4.Advanced fracture treatment methods.

5. Foot and ankle surgery including Hallux valgus, ankle arthroscopy, calcaneal fracture (fracture of the heel bone) etc.
