It is September 1999 when I visit the Mediterranean for the first time. I go together with my boyfriend Ian and a group of his friends - Anna and Phil, Roger, Rob and Phil's sister Louise.

Polite and proud, Cyprus Airways gently land us at Paphos' small airport. The pre-booked taxi speeds us through the warm, pitch-black night and the streets of Paphos towards Coral Bay.

This is the island where Aphrodite rose from the sea and surely she chose the most wonderful place to be born. A selection of images and text will show you some of the things I experienced during two weeks of Cypriot sun.
