In 1997 I had a one of my lifes fondest wishes fulfilled, I was able to purchase my very own armour. I had just become a friend of Robert Valentine when he informed me about some armour he had just received for consignment.
The guy bought it to perform in and decided he just wasn't into it so he put it up for sale. Most of it fit me without much modification, what was altered were the greaves, vambraces, and breastplate (made smaller).
I wear it as often as I can, for sword fight shows, parades, medieval parties etc.
The armour itself is Italian "classic round" style of the early 16th century.
Below are some pictures of my armour, along with some of the new pauldrons I made with rob's tutelage. I learned a lot and really enjoy making armour, finger gauntlets are my next project.
