Hoatzin 

       One of the world’s most unusual birds is the 

hoatzin. For the first two or three weeks of its life 

it has a pair of claws on each wing. Hoatzins live 

in trees and adults feed entirely on leaves. After 

a large meal they become so heavy that they can 

hardly fly.
