Lion 

       This powerful big cat usually rests for about 

20 hours each day, being active only in the early 

morning and late afternoon. Lions live in prides 

consisting of 4-15 related females and their 

offspring, and one or more males. Male lions 

defend their territory and pride against other 

males, while females do most of the hunting.
