Your Name
Last evening
Under the moonlight,
I felt a cool breeze
Against my cheek.
The windchimes
Rang out with laughter,
Then hushed to whispers
And called your name.
And when the raindrops fall
It's just your name they call;
You're everywhere,
But you're not here.
And every night in bed
I hear your voice in my head;
You're everywhere,
But you're not here.
In the morning,
Out in the sunlight,
I heard a bird sing
Her haunting tune.
Then others joined her;
A daybreak chorus...
They sang so sweetly,
They sang your name.
And when the raindrops fall
It's just your name they call;
You're everywhere,
But you're not here.
And every night in bed
I hear your voice in my head;
You're everywhere,
But you're not here.
