Enlightenment

As of late, one thing that has been on my mind is how grades work in school. I think it places too much emphasis on the grade and not remembering and learning the material. Of course if there were no grading system in our schools, then most people would not even care. That is part of my point. Students should learn because they want knowledge and care about learning because they don't want to be ignorant for the rest of their lives. Maybe it is that people want to be ignorant of some things like poverty and suffering in the world. I am not saying I am a great philanthropist or know all there is in the world; I just think people should take the time out of their lives from working for money and partying to ask themselves about what is going on in the world. Is there some way to improve myself, my situation or the situation of others? It would truely make the world a better place. Just remember not to take to the greedy aspect on the part of what you can do for yourself.
