| I thought all the literature I have read was pretty
interesting, but I especially enjoyed
1984.
It had a profound impact on my
way of viewing certain things in the world. Communism
is a very controling force that could take away our
everyday rights and leave us no privacy. It does seem very
possible for a the government to take over evey aspect of
ones life and lead to mind control as in the book. Technology
of today allows for constant monitoring. People are like sheep
in many ways when they focus only on living day to day.
I guess the reason I liked the book so much is that it
made me think about my life and the right to free thought
and information is a blessing. |
