Apple Crisp

2 cups chopped baking apples
� cup brown sugar
� cup flour
� cup oatmeal
� tsp. cinnamon
� tsp. nutmeg
3 tbsp. soft butter

Place apples in greased 9 x 5 x 3 pan. Blend remaining ingredients until crumbly and spread over apples. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes until tender and golden brown.


Apple Pie

Filling:

4 cups apples
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 cup water
2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. butter
Mix sugar, cinnamon and cornstarch together, add water, stir, and add apples. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and add lemon juice and butter. Cool. Pour into crust and top with crust. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes then 365 degrees for 35 minutes.


Apple Pecan Pie

1 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
pinch of salt
1(9 inch) unbaked pastry shell
4 cup coarsely grated peeled apple
1 egg, beaten
6 Tbsp. melted margarine
1 cup chopped pecans

Combine dry ingredients in large bowl, add apple, toss lightly, stir in butter and egg. Spoon mixture into pie shell, sprinkle with pecans. Bake at 400 for 10 minutes, then 350 for 50 minutes.


Apple Walnut Cake

3 eggs
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup cooking oil
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
4 cups diced apples
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Cream eggs, sugar, oil and vanilla. Mix in other ingredients expcept apples and nuts. Add apples, then nuts to mixture. spread mixture in 9 x 13 inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 325 for 50 minutes. Cool and frost.

Frosting:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
4 Tbsp. margarine
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup Cool Whip (optional)

Blend cheese, margarine, sugar and vanilla. Fold in Cool Whip. Spread over cake.


Apple Muffins

1 1/8 cup sifted cake flour
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 Tbsp. shortening
1/4 cup plus 1 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped apples

Sift flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg together. Cream butter and sugar. Stir in egg, then flour with milk. Fold in apples. Put batter in muffin tins. Sprinkle top with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Bake in hot oven for 20 minutes.


Apple Cinnamon Turnovers

1 medium tart apple, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup applesauce
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon, divided
Dash ground nutmeg
1 tube (7 1/2 ounces) refrigerated bisquits
1 Tbsp. margarine, melted
2 Tbsp. sugar

In a bowl, combine the apple, applesauce, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon and nutmeg. Separate biscuits; roll out each into a 6 inch circle. Place on greased baking sheets. Place a heaping tablespponful of apple mixture in the center of each. Fold in half and pinch edges to seal. Brush with butter. Combine sugar and remaining cinnamon; sprinkle over tops. Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden.


Apple Granola Desert

4 medium tart apples, peeled and sliced
2 cups granola cereal with fruit and nuts
1/4 cup honey
2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
Vanilla ice cream or whipped topping, optional

In a slow cooker, combine apples and cereal. In a bowl combine honey, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg; pour over apple mixture and mix ell. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve with ice cream or whipped topping if desired.


Caramel Dip

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping
1/2 cup honey
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon

In a small mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Beat in caramel topping, honey and cinnamon. Serve with apples.
