Mark Hatting, although an enigma to most people, has led a relatively
simple, commonplace life. Born in

Mark began playing at the age of two, but didn't start studying seriously until age seven, to a private teacher in the area who nurtured his ability and his passion for the Arts and music. Mark quickly fell in love with the Arts. During this time, Mark was also deeply involved with church activities. It was no surprise to see him in church five days a week, working on music, sprucing up the church, or helping people.
In 1997, Mark toured the country through his church with a group of young
people who spread the Gospel of Christ all throughout the world known as The
Continentals. On this tour, nicknamed the 'American History Tour,' Mark saw
attractions from a TV appearance on "Prime Time Country" on TNN
all the way up to the Freedom Walk in
Mark continued to flourish through junior high school (where he received the
Presidential Award a second time) all the way through high school and even into
college. He is maintaining a 3.6 GPA, and is currently enrolled at
In 2000, Mark was the pianist for the show "Godspell" and quickly took a liking to the show. Mark had always loved the theatre, but after "Godspell," he knew that music was for him, as opposed to acting. In 2002 and 2003, however, he returned to the stage as an actor, playing Judas Iscariot in an original drama written by the Associate Pastor at his church at the time, "One Man, One King."
Mark had established a reputation all around the community as both a local favorite for community fuctions as well as a marvelous entertainer and composer. In high school, he composed original background (called 'program') music for two shows: "The Miracle Worker" and "It's A Wonderful Life," both in the Spring and Fall of 2001, respectively. During the time he was composing for "It's A Wonderful Life," he was also performing at his local theatre for an original production "...and all that...," a musical revue which showcased some of the classics by Gershwin, Loesser, Carmichael, and Kander & Ebb. It was then that Mark was first really exposed to, and grew to love, showtunes.

In 2002, he began producing his own projects, whipping out two CDs less than a year apart. His first, "Glory, Honor, Majesty," which showcased many sacred hymns in the church, received raves from most who bought it. His follow-up album, "One Love, One Passion, One Lord," which was mainly dedicated to contemporary worship songs, also received raves.
In 2003, the most pivotal turn in his life came, when he requested to be the pianist for another version of "Godspell" and eventually became the music director for the show. Mark's passion for the theatre and music deepened as he worked with some incredibly talented musicians.
The show opened in May and closed in June, on a limited run. There he also met his now-former love, Amanda. Together, they enriched each other in the Arts while building a strong passion for the Arts as they continued to perform all around the area long after the show had closed.
In 2004, however, he began to realize that he needed to continue his life,
