Pantheon O’ Gods
Azran: God Knowledge (lawful good, domains healing, good, and knowledge). He and his followers gain knowledge of evil. In order to hear everything said, he cut out his own tongue, so his voice would not muffle even the slightest sound, giving him the title, The Mute God. His clerics are expected to either travel the world and report or to stay in his temples (which usually double as libraries) and maintain the hundreds of volumes of knowledge. The Order of Azran is credited with the first reports of vampires and a few of their weaknesses. The clerics wear plain brown robes and act as historians and researchers. His favored weapon is the quarterstaff.
The Order of Azran is a cleric-run system of informers and adventurers that relay information and conduct research. The more superior members emulate their god and cut out their own tongues, communicating by hand signals.
Terdon: God of Thieves (chaotic neutral, domains chaos, luck, trickery). He is a trickster, a cutthroat, and a kingpen. Two rules among his followers are “For every nine throats you cut, leave one alone, for one to be too greedy will be one’s downfall”, and “If you have the skills and the finesse, you shouldn’t need that dagger.” His clerics have few temples, and those that are around are hidden in the backs of taverns and such places. The clerics wear dark gray robes and aid thief’s guilds. His favored weapon is the dagger.
The Quiet Creepers are a cult of Terdon that believes he is manifest in an avatar called the Grey Mouser. The Grey Mouser is in fact a demigod servant of Terdon who can steal a house and have the people wake up in an empty lot the next morning.
Kunar Gi: God of Light (Lawful Good, Domains good, war, and law). He is the embodiment of The Cause, the cause being good and against arcane magic users. Battling evil in every form, he is the most commonly worshiped deity among paladins, rangers, and monks of good alignment. His followers consider dying for The Cause to be glorious and as they charge, they chant a prayer. The clerics wear robes of white and red and are zealous in their religion. His favored weapon is the broadsword.
The Honored Crusaders are the pro-active portion of the temple, the part that goes out and fights evil. These can include adventurers hired on to serve.
Shalaza: Goddess of magic and death (Chaotic Neutral, domains magic, chaos, death). She is the twin of Shador. She embraces magic and the willingness to do anything to attain greater power. Her clerics wear black and gold robes and remain aloof to daily life, seeking power. Her followers are usually wizards and sorcerers. Her favored weapon is the poisoned dagger.
Shador: God of magic (Lawful Neutral, domains magic, law, healing). He is the twin of Shalaza, but embodies everything his sister isn’t in respect to magic. He embraces magic for the pure love of it. He takes up good causes, which include making sure his sister doesn’t gain too much power. His followers are usually wizards and sorcerers. His clerics wear white and gold robes and they work to bring back the knowledge of magic lost in the war. His favored weapon is the dagger.
The Rising Moon is a secret society that works to bring magic knowledge back through dealings with the dwarf and elf nations, as well as sending adventurers to Chru. They work with the Order of Azran.
Dargeeze: God of Travel (Chaotic Neutral, domains luck, protection, travel). He is called The Traveler. He loves the adventure of the open road, and is known to take a mortal form and wander the world. He is known to take out his longbow Nubra and fire an arrow, ordering it to travel a great distance. He then simply travels the road till he finds it and fires it again. His followers are usually rangers, bards and adventurers. His clerics wear green and gray robes, and aid travelers as well as bless caravans. His favored weapon is the longbow.
Thoran Kur: God of Dwarves (Lawful Good, domains earth, law, protection). He created the dwarves, and placed his knowledge of the earth in their minds. He is also known to be worshiped by miners of other races, for it was he that placed gems in the ground. His clerics wear gold, silver, and copper colored robes, and protect dwarves and mines. His favored weapon is the warhammer.
Halnala: Goddess of Halflings (Lawful Good, domains good, law, protection). She is known as the goddess of the harvest as well as the halflings. She gave the halflings their laid back demeanor and their stalwart defense against enemies. She is the patron god of halflings and farmers. Her followers wear green and yellow robes, and preside over harvests as well as protecting halflings. Her favorite weapon is the short sword.
Galandrian: Goddess of Elves (Chaotic Good, domains healing, good, protection). She created the elves and inspired them to become the masters of art, music, poetry, and warfare. She is the goddess of bards, elves, and half-elves. Her clerics wear robes of white and green and protect elves. Her favored weapon is a longsword.
Hudrud: God of Gnomes (Neutral Good, domains good, protection, trickery). He is the trickster of the gods, using illusions on both mortals and gods alike. He plays many pranks, some not as well received as others. To improve his pranks, he has become an inventor and alchemist. His followers are rogues, illusionists, and gnomes. His clerics wear yellow and gold robes and protect gnomes. His favored weapon is the battleaxe.
The Blind Lady: Goddess of the Sun and Justice (Neutral, domains law, good, chaos, evil). To create the sun, she went to the demiplane of light, and was blinded while collecting enough to make it. She is neutral to the extreme, as she could no longer see anything but someone’s inner self, and the deeds done. Her followers are mostly fighters and monks. Her clerics are the final word in matters of law in many lands, for they do not care about the battle between good and evil, law and chaos. Her clerics wear gray robes and are the judges in many communities. Her brother is Yshgral. Her favored weapon is the mace.
Numek: Goddess of Secrets (Neutral Evil, domains evil, knowledge, destruction). While Azran cut out his tongue so he couldn’t miss a single sound, Numek cut hers out so no one could make her make one. Anything she learns, she keeps to himself. Her followers are wizards, sorcerers, and rogues. Her clerics wear black robes and act as spies. Her favored weapon is the crossbow.
The Severed Tongue is a secret society that hires themselves out as spies to anyone with the money to hire them.
Yshgral: God of Death (Lawful Neutral, domains law, death, travel). He is the brother of The Blind Lady. While she judges the living, he judges the dead. He collects all who die and sends them where they belong. To him, all are equal, whether they were a farmer or a king, all that matters to him is that they are judged and sent off. His followers are mostly necromancers, but anyone who has his view of death can follow him. He is seen as a cloaked figure carrying a scythe and an hourglass. His clerics wear black and silver, and preside over cemeteries and the like. His favored weapon is the scythe.
Chug: God of the Bum Deal (Neutral Evil, domains trickery, evil, law). Where someone backstabs friend, he is there. Where a contract makes the man give an arm for a loaf of bread through good wording, he is there. To lie, cheat, steal, and get away with it is his delight. To ensure these actions are never in short supply, he brings demons and other nasty things into the world. He is also seen in mortal form taking a more active role in this sport. His followers are mostly rogues, thieves, wizards, and fighters. His clerics wear garish clothing that makes them look like shifty horse traders. They take no interest in the everyday lives of people. His favored weapon is poisoned darts.
Giea: Goddess of Nature (Neutral, domains air, water, earth, fire, animals, plant). She is friend to all who lived in harmony with nature, a savage enemy to those that don’t. She doesn’t care about cities or anything that isn’t nature. Her followers are mostly intelligent creatures of nature, barbarians, and druids. Her clerics wear blue, green, and brown robes and protect the wilderness. Her favored weapon is the quarterstaff.
The Land’s Rage is a fanatical cult that seeks to destroy all cities and allow nature to return to the areas.
Kronon: God of War (Chaotic Neutral, domains strength, war, chaos). He loves battle, loves the test of one’s strength and skill versus another. He loves the fight of one person versus incredible odds. His followers are fighters, athletes, monks, and barbarians. His clerics wear red and steel colored robes and work with armies. His favored weapon is the greatsword.
Shumak Ferune: God of Bloodshed (Chaotic Evil, domains evil, destruction, chaos, and death). Called The Red Hand, and for good reason. He is the god of torture and slaughter. He demands sacrifice, and most his followers are more than happy to oblige. Most torturers follow his teachings. His followers are mainly fighters, monks, barbarians, rogues, orcs, and half-orcs. His clerics wear blood red robes and either work in secret or are torturers and work with evil armies. His favored weapon is a large stone warhammer.
The Red Hand are professional group of torturers that are hired by evil creatures.
Jurrug: God of Orcs (Chaotic evil, domains evil, war, and strength). He believes in the strong should rule while the weak are dead or in servitude. He created the orcs. He hates non-orcs and barely tolerates half-orcs, they must prove themselves to him. His followers are orcs and half-orcs. His clerics wear bone white and red robes and protect orc kind. His favored weapon is the orc double-axe.
Ghash: God of Tranny, Slavery, and Domination (Chaotic Evil, domains chaos, evil, and strength). He believes none but his own should rule, with him controlling his own completely. He sends his followers out to wherever hope and valor are and destroy it. He hates the other gods and strives to put them under his own power, working with one or two occasionally if it advances his cause. His followers are fighters, barbarians, wizards, sorcerers, goblins and other creatures, and monks. His clerics wear gray and black robes and run prisons and slave pits. His favored weapon is the whip.
Badre: Goddess of Love and Valor (neutral good, domains healing, good, protection). She loves everyone and everything. She is sad when evil tries to advance themselves through the injury of others. She believes in sacrificing everything for love, to protect those you love, and to ensure that love lives on. Her typical worshipers are paladins, fighters, monks, and basically anyone who will put it all on the line to protect home and hearth. Her clerics wear bright red (almost pink) robes, and they run sick houses, orphanages, and even some brothels (decent ones). Her favored weapon is the longsword.
The Defenders of the Heart are a group of healers and guardians that protect the weak and fight against evil. They grudgingly fight alongside followers of Kunar Gi and other zealots.
Halg: Goddess of Famine Insanity, Murder, and Disease (Neutral Evil, domains evil, trickery, death). She is the blight on the landscape. She is the fever that killed your child. She is called the blue goddess for her complexion, blue, pale, and rotting skin. Her eyes are glazed and look sightless, she can be mistaken for a zombie when she manifests herself on this plane, or like a drowned corpse. Her followers are avoided when they reveal themselves, even by other evil people for fear of catching the goddesses’ attention. Where she walks, plants die, animals and people get sick, or are driven mad. She hates all things alive and unspoiled. Her one goal is to foul the world in corruption and death. Her followers are the really twisted wizards, sorcerers, fighters, monks, and rogues. Her clerics wear faint blue robes and stay secret. Her favored weapon is a half spear with rotting chunks of flesh hanging on it.
The DM: God of Everything (Chaotic Neutral, domains chaos, evil, war, death). Those who worship the DM believe that it controls every aspect of the world, and brings death, destruction, and evil into the world just to keep a few select people busy. While most people complain that their god doesn’t ever answer their prayers, DM worshippers complain that their god listens all too often. One must be very careful when calling upon this harbinger of death, for the DM has a sick, sadistic sense of humor. Though the legends do claim that there have been those who got what they wanted. The DM’s followers are from all walks of life and share one thing in common, a planet-sized sense of paranoia and doom. The DM’s clerics wear white clothes with red targets painted on the chest and back portion of their robes.
