One goalie skates around the face-off circle, always facing the same direction so that sometimes he skates backwards and sometimes forwards. A coach, or player, stands at the blueline and passes to the goalie. The goaltender returns the pass without stopping skating.
Two goalies. Set up the same drill on both face-off circles. Instead of passing back to the coach or player, the first goalie passes to the second goalie, while skating the face-off circles always facing each other.
Goalies who are not yet big enough to handle pucks very well can start by doing this drill without pucks.
