American (practically extinct) In my eyes there are infinite levels in the universe — stackable, retractable, malleable levels —and within them reside endless ways to explore and expound upon our reality. Hence, we come to the job of the artist. Artisans of any craft blast through the concrete wall of monotony and build their own colorful glass windows of perception... they form and shape in their own image. Midnight: 30 designs experimental rhythms and spoken word poems in their attempt to justify and perhaps clarify existence and the world around them...topics range from love lost to corruption and chaos...each sentence brings each poet into focus more and more, bearing for all: deepest regrets, emotional ranting, logical explanations, and the very essence which pushes him to strive toward that final goal of understanding himself and his fellow life-forms. The most important aspect of Midnight: 30 is the common bond between the poets—each a true artist in their own respect, and courageous enough to speak all the beliefs and questions swirling through the universe within them, and without them.... true friends who gather in a circle and speak to one another with utmost confidence and respect. True Artists.
