So what has been going on since you
have been gone?WELCOME
DONNA BAKER TO OUR CREW
We have a new face
here at the Visitor Center. Donna Baker has been here for
about a month now, and things are going fine. She looks
forward to seeing all of you this fall. Though, she does
look at the picture on the Visitor Center web site for a
slight reference...and I do mean slight!! Have any of you
seen that picture?
WE WILL BE RIDIN' IN STYLE
THIS SPRING
Guess what? We have
progressed into the next millineum. For all of those
people who want to give tours but don't want to walk too
much, we have got something for you. We have just ordered
two mini-luxury buses for the fall. When I say luxury I
mean they have air conditioning plus other amminities (like
a gas and a brake). So now we need everyone to take
caution. We don't want you to get any tickets for traffic
violations from now till this spring. If you would like
to drive one of these buses, drive with both hands, look
both ways, and prepare for the University to give you
some sort of driving test. The actual planned date is mid
-fall but the tours which will utilize these vehicles
will not be fully operational by then. We will be
randomly testing tours with these vehicles in mid-fall. A
tour route for these buses has been developed and is
undergoing testing by our distinguished team of...umm...team
members.
WE NOW HOLD THE TIME CAPSULE
HOSTAGE
They're talking
about us in the Bicentennial Office. We are in talks,
and are almost cleared to be solely responsible for
unearthing, and opening the time capsule here on campus.
There is a large ceremony planned for this event and we
will be in the middle of the entire thing.
It does not stop there,
we will also be reponsible for collecting itmes for a new
time capsule. We will determine every aspect of this
project from the size of the capsule, to what it is made
out of. We will decide who to collect items from, what to
collect, and how to collect it. This will be a major
undertaking, and an excellent opportunity for us to
recieve the recognition we all deserve. Get ready to make
history. Get ready to be in USC brochures and videos, umm
that means we got to look good.
In one of our first
meetings we will discuss this issue. One thing we also
need is a strong interest and follow through on this
project. So if we want to get noticed by everyone, then
this is our big chance. I don't know about you but I am
strongly feelin this project!! Send feedback to this website to show your
interest!
WE ARE HITTING THE BIG TIME
IN THE BICENTENNIAL
Okay so we get to
open an extremely old box....but we got to look darn good.
Well Denise is on the rampage to see that we are the
first permitted/allowed to wear bicentenial shirts. We
will usher in the new logo with new embroidered shirts.
Oh, and that large beautiful nametag you wear will be
replaced with a new bicientinnial name tags. Let us all
pray that Denise will be granted permission to follow
through on all this from "JEDI COUNCIL" (Board
of Directors).
SPRUCING UP AROUND THE HOUSE
There are a few
things different around here. Hmmm...let me see. We have
a few new computers, some new artwork, and umm that's all
I can think of right now.
What does the future
hold? A bicentenial facelift including interior exhibits
and the exterior signs in the Visitor Center.
On a lighter note,
since Casey, Ileah, and many others, have umm...strongly
encouraged Ryan Leigh to clean her office, I will say she
has made a strong dent in it. She is progressing, now we
should move on to Denise, and thoroughly inspect her
office for junkiness. The planned grand openning date for
Ryan Leigh's clean office is fall 2026 (yes that says
2026).
