Alps - the end!
On the last night we made a presentation to Dick, the Chief Organiser, Land Rover Driver, and holder of the form M to authorise it all.
It proved to be a cheap holiday for me. The organised bit cost £190 each, and I only spent another £120 while I was there for two weeks.
The location may not be everyone's first choice, but the beaches were only a 2 hour drive away if the weather had got really bad, and we were there for the mountains. We chose to go there because it was further south than most of the Alps, and so got more settled weather, and so it proved (some of my Friend were in Chamonix at the same time and got half as much done.
In Conclusion, We had a really good time. The weather was excellent, allowing me to exceed my own expectations. I got 3 big hills climbed. The company was great, no accidents, no arguments, and a great laugh most of the time.
It was a bit tiring getting up at 4am having not slept all night at the bivi sites, but that was the only low point, and it did mean we spent less money on Mountain huts.
There is still loads to do in the area, I can't wait till next time!
