Beautiful Day
Awoke that morning with such
great hope
today was our day that we
have dreamt about
it started with a look in
your eyes that had a special spark
would I be yours forever
was the question you asked
a quiet Yes with tears of
joy
a bond that no one could
destroy
careful months of planning
went by in a daze
our moment drawing nearer
to just within days
now in my bridal gown feeling
like a queen
it felt like I was walking
in a dream
time stood still as my father
walked me down the isle
my breath caught in my chest
all the while
I don’t recall the music,
my heart beating all the while
all I saw was your love,
your eyes, your smile
I placed my hand within yours
as it was always destined to be
our two souls now locked
together for all eternity
A beautiful day as only a
bride can recall
a day blessed by God in
His Heavenly hall
