A cry of helplessness finds me in agony,
gripped by fear, depression and anxiety

I’m numb, there’s no pleasure, no smile
no worthy feelings, only a future of denial

Darkness overwhelms me, the mind now numb
common functions not performed, I’m in delirium

They dare discard ME without a second thought?
I'm worth so much more than others am I not?

Forced to accept change is now a disability,
something new is not always an opportunity

Suddenly there's no easy solidarity
I’m alone without any familiarity

Gone is my fervor and enthusiasm
leaving behind an empty chasm

Indifference now my strongest feeling
leaves those around me reeling

Time becomes the enemy, going by too slowly
Sleep a luxury leaving me lonely

Life has stopped its meaning
helplessness, in this pool I’m drowning.
