Unwanted
revered protector
fierce trained pet
suddenly carted off to the vet
unwanted
tail wagging
bright eyes
no assurance just lies
unwanted
broken down society
for you no longer space
this place has become a damn disgrace
unwanted
just like you
hundreds of others
discarded like the farmers
unwanted
pleading eyes
heartbeat racing
alone cruel end you’re facing
unwanted
finality in the needle’s prick
your haunting eyes stare
the world’s gone mad with no one to care
