Knowledge is a sea,  school is a ship.

                                                                                                                           ~ Kazakh proverb

In the spring of 1998, the destiny brought me to Karaganda under quite unusual circumstances, of which I prefer to be silent, since I believe that I was refused an admission from MIT because of my essay about this event. Well, that is not the case. In Karaganda, a city in the center of Kazakhstan, you can find a very beautiful and hospitable place called Maykuduk, or gentler "Mayken".

What I wanted to say is that my Kazakh-Turkish High School is located in this Mayken. It is considered one of the best high schools in Kazagandy, and probably in Kazakhstan (as a result, in the world as well). I had spent 5 best years of my life there. Needless to say that without the education I got there I would not be able to come to the USA to study.

Our class of 2003 was comprised of very talented and exceptional guys. Many of us are now studying in colleges and universities in Kazakhstan, Russia, USA, and Turkey.
