Players
Code of Conduct
In order to make tournaments run
as smoothly and be enjoyable as possible for everyone, the
staff of The Late Night Players has instituted these new
policies. All TD's will be following these polices. We are
sorry for any inconvenience this may cause any of our
players, but we believe that these policies will create a
more enjoyable experience for everyone.
1. All players should read the rules before registering for
a tournament.
2. New policy requires that you register for a tournament no
later than 10 minutes before that tournament is set to
start.
3. Registration will be closed 5 minutes before start time.
If you do not register before that, it is too late.
Registration will NOT be re-opened under any circumstances.
Please do not ask the TD to do so, they will have to refuse.
It is not in the TD's power to change these policies.
4. Roll call will be taken approximately 5 minutes before
start time. If you are not in the room for roll call, you
will be removed from the tour. If you are in the room and do
not respond in a timely fashion, you will be removed. If you
know that your computer loads the game rooms slowly, please
consider this when you choose the time that you come to the
room.
5. After roll call, the TD will go over rules and other
important instructions, please answer when they ask if there
are any questions.
6. During break, the TD will do scores and announce winners
of that round. They will then ask if there are any disputes.
If you believe the TD has made a mistake, please speak up
right away. If you do not say anything, the TD will take
that as a no dispute. Once the winners are entered into the
case web site, they CAN NOT be changed.
7. If you have a complaint about another player or a TD,
please do not use tournament chat to discuss it. If you are
having a problem, please e mail Dj or Ski and your complaint
will be addressed promptly.
8. If there is a non-tournament player in the room who is
causing problems, please allow the TD to handle it. You will
be instructed to mute that player.
9. If there is a tournament player causing problems, allow
the TD to do his/her job by handling it. Do not get
involved.
10. Our tournaments are meant to be fun and enjoyable for
everyone. Please keep chat friendly and "clean".
11. Any flagrant disregard for these policies and rules will
be grounds for further action. This could involve direct
contact by league administrators, being placed in the
penalty box, or removal from the league.
We have the best players anywhere and have not in the past
felt the need to develop such strict policies. However,
there have been some instances in the recent past which have
made these actions necessary to keep our growing league as
friendly and fun as it has always been.
Thank you for abiding by this Code
