For the season

Jon's Little Corner
To begin...

Hello. My name is Jon. Since you've no doubt stumbled onto my odd little wrinkle of the Web having just been browsing some fantastical and wondrous works of HTML genius, I expect that you seek a similar example of time of 'brain-ness'* here. Well, what you see is what you get! I have very little time to indulge myself in these pleasurable activities, but I try to update it at least to keep up with the seasons. So enjoy, but you needn't come back too often... just when the moon feels right. :->

Just for you, surfers, I've improved the page a considerable bit! I've actually filled in "My current play." I've put the new poem in, updated the midis, and made little updates & improvements everywhere... and all when I should have been doing homework! So can I blame you for my procrastinating? ;->

Feel free to drop me a e-line and tell me what's on yer mind. Oh, feedback on the site would be nice, too.

You know, I just realized how self-indulgent this concept of a personal web page truly is. I mean don't get me wrong, good surfers... I love having one, and updating it (all too rarely), and telling people about it. But honsetly, does anyone ever really come? Who am I talking to when I am addressing you ambiguous 'surfers?' Sure, anyone from anywhere around the world CAN come visit my little site... but DOES anyone ever???

Well, forgive me. I seem in a rather cynical mood. But it doesn't feel bad, mind you.. it's a good, if not convenient state to be in, I suppose.. yet more sadism? My, I'm very complex. :-|

This site is also mine. It is not meant to offend anyone, but only to teach and enlighten for those who are open to it.

*I used the word 'brain-ness' here in replacement of the more harsh 'nerdish-ness.' I have nothing against nerds nor brains; in fact, depending on whom you ask, I fall into one of these categories. Also, if anyone objects to my way of thinking (that is, that someone with a web page is most likely a brain -- or nerd, si vous voulez), any reasonable person must admit that the vast majority of individuals who actually take the time to learn HTML and put time into a site are those same persons get a good English grade. This writer concedes that there are many programs that traslate into HTML automatically for the user (in fact, the FortuneCity web builder program helped me tremendously in the beginning; this index page is based on their design), I believe that one can only truly feel proud of oneself as a "web master" when one has assimilated the Language and created pages all on one's very own.
