If a world/society was in total chaos, and I had the technology to travel back in time to when it was more primitive. taking a rather educated guess that if there was technology to perform time travel, then obviously science would be much more advance than today and medical science would probably be beyond belief. If I just travel back to 2000 years ago... Show the people a few science tricks, cure some ill people and from that point the historical timeline would be changed. If that REALLY happened then who/what does that make me?????
