These two guys are what get me through each day!
Keli, at right, was rescued from the pound several years ago, and is my "best girl." She has food issues and a weight problem, like most of us middle-aged gals, and thinks all men who knock at the door have come to bring her snacks! I did not teach her this! She loves me dearly, but would willingly go with anyone who offered something good to eat. Keli loves the sound of her own voice, and shares it often for no apparent reason. She has much to teach me: she thinks she is beautiful, despite her parti-colored (blue/brown mix) eyes and unrecognized coloring, sort of "mud merle."
Woody, on the other hand, is my main man! He tolerates other people, as long as they don't get close to me. He can hear me sigh from the opposite end of the house, and will come check that I am all right. He can usually be found between me and the front door, unless it's playtime, when he brings me a toy. On good days, he flies in the doggie door with toy in mouth, teases me, then runs back out the door, and I have to go out and play for a bit. On bad days, he jumps on the bed and shoves his toy in my hand so I can still play! Woody has gotten more of his adult "rough" coat since this photo was taken.
