History of the company

The idea for "Got Freedom?" was thought up by a group of people who wanted to make a difference in themselves, their families, their community, and the world. But how? We began brainstorming a product that we could create that would better the world. A patriotic theme could help the citizens of our great nation show support for our troops and promote America. So we came up with the phrase, "Got Freedom? Thank our troops!"

As time went on, only our family remained excited and energized about this project. We have continued to value the same goals and are striving to meet them. What a unique, summer family experience!

We decided to donate some of the proceeds to a Utah family who lost their Dad and Husband in Operation Iraqi Freedom. This would fulfill the self imposed requirement to help our community. A memorial fund is set up and the funds will be used for the children's education.

The opportunities this is giving us and our children are diverse. The children will have the chance to sell the T-Shirts at the parades and earn some summer cash in the process. Giving some of the money they earn to the families we have chosen will benefit them as they learn compassion and generosity.

Now, as for my husband and I, we are benefiting by increasing our business skills and by learning about the clothing industry (something neither of us knew anything about!). We are making acquaintances that we probably would never have met otherwise. But, perhaps the greatest benefit we will gain personally is realizing that if you can dream it, you can make it real!
