Colonists
needed!
The U.N. colony commission
placed a general all call for recruits to the new colonies in Paradise
City on Drako 4. It is said that the colony sleep ships are ready, and
a new life awaits any citizen of the planet Earth who would like to go.
U.N. commission
android robot builders have been hard at work for the last two hundred
fifty years terra forming the planet for human habitation.
Colony commissioner
Dick Wittington, said. "Reports that it will take three hundred years to
make the trip are false. The journey may be one hundred fifty two years,
but all the colonists will be put in to deep sleep here at earth after they have been
taken up to orbit and transferred to the colony sleep ships. The citizen
who is placed in to deep sleep is unaware of the passage of time, and they
won't appear to age as well." Mr. Wittington also said, "The rumors of
"deep sleep sickness", are not true in ninety eight percent of the sleepers,
and that only a few of the sick ones ever die right away. The commissioner
went on to report that two of his uncles were placed on the last colony
sleep ship that left five years ago, and at last report all was well; He
said that people should remember that after the colony sleep ships get
up to fifty percent of the speed of light all communication is lost. So
there are no reports until the colony sleep ships arrive at Paradise City.
The Colony commission
has also assured this reporter that the android robots will be taken off
Drako 4 just as soon as all work has been completed so that the colonists
can be assured that they won't have to put up with their presence. All
will be just like here on Earth, except that there will be real green grass,
real trees, no crowding and work for all.
