January/February Craft: Floral Door Hanger

You will need:
1 medium size foam ball (approximately $1.00 at Wal*Mart)
1 spool (3-5 yds) of decorative (1-2 inch) wired ribbon (approximately $3.00 at Wal*Mart) or a tassel.
6-8 artificial rose bud "bushes"--or other flowers (approximately $10-15.00 total at Wal*Mart--look at discount stores like Big Lots) Dried florals are also nice.
glue gun
scissors
wire cutters

Step one: remove side of foam ball, leaving 75% intact and one side flat.

Step two: make a hole-about the width of a pencil down the center of the ball.

Step three: Make a "u" with the ribbon, equal lengths.  With the pencil, thread the ribbon through the hole in the ball.  Leave a loop large enough to fit easily over a door handle at one end.  Tie a small knot in the other end leaving the ends to dangle--or make a bow if you wish.  Secure knot with glue.

Step four: using the glue gun, secure your buds to the ball.  Make sure to use the greenery as well.  No styrofoam should show.

Total Cost: $14-18.00 but can be done cheaper.
Total Time: 45 minutes
