Band News!!

To catch up on what you've missed out on in the world of the the LGC check out the bio.

Friday, November 28th: We played for record labels (Murder records, Cinnamon Toast records, and No records), and got absolutely blown away by the competion! It was a great experience though, mainly because we were the youngest band there, and it gives us good ideas for a direction to look toward. We played with Soup, Coping, Super 8 Deluxe, and Apex.

Wednesday, December 3rd: Rough night. Bob and I (Matt) played at the high school coffee house and ended up laughing at ourselves the whole time, so it was fun for us but the sound quality suffered. From this we moved down to the Tuns bar called "The T-Room". With no set list we trudged through 2 and a half hours of originals and a few covers. The few that attended seemed generally impressed despite Pat breaking 2 strings in the span of 3 songs, Matt's amp finally dyeing, Matt's vocals not being loud enough, and Andrew being thrown off beat by the constant flash of cameras. Oh well, we got paid $100. We plan to take a bit of a break and write some new stuff, and find out what direction we want to go.

Saturday, December 5th: The new set list is under way! Four new songs are in their basic stages. The songs are all still sticking with the LGC style but add a little grit to the sound while trying to use more melodic vocal parts. "Homicidal Man" and "Empty Screens" have lyrics while two others are being finished up musically.

Friday, January 29th: The LGC open up an ECMA (East Coast Music Awards) assembly in Halifax West High School. They played "Her House" and a new song called "Mindlessly in a Chair". Both songs got a good reaction from the crowd. Two other bands played, Wooderson (who had the most beautiful and talented singer I've ever seen, I think her name was Gina) and Big Fish, Small Fish who also had an attractive lead singer, but it was a man. LGC promised to unveil there whole new arsenal of pop gems along with their long awaited tape in the AV room of the school very soon. Pictures will soon be up in the band image room.

Tuesday, February  17th: Yet another school gig. The boys played in the all to familiar cafeteria setting to a packed crowd. 5 songs where banged out, the only ones heard before were the infamous Her House and relatively new Mindlessly in a Chair, the new songs were Wooderson (yes, written about the singer in the band mentioned above), Rigor Mortis, and Bodhisttva. The gig went well but I think the audience is getting tired of getting blown away while trying to eat lunch.

Thursday, April 23rd: The big Weststock gig. It was a great show for the band, highlighted by "Untitled", which got the crowd jumping at least as much as Her House. The Band also played about 20 minutes over their given time, which essentially means they bent over the Holiday Snaps and gave it to them, cause they only got to play two songs despite being the best band there.

Sometime in Early March: Colin Macdermid joins the band as the new bassist. He smells good, and knows alot about Bologna so he's in.

Monday June 1th: Condon from the Pavilion called last night and gave us a gig with the illustrious  Elevator to Hell,  and the Sades on June 28th, although I'm getting a little tired of playing with such amateurs, but I guess it'll pass the time.

Sunday June 28th: The gig with Elevator Through came and went, LGC played a generally bad set, but still got compliments from  fans and the Sades. The next gig is on July 31st for Nathan's Flat tape release.
