Thank You for Being an Angel in my Life

  Whenever I have been bound by strive,

There have been angels in my life.

They were sent by God above...

To bring peace and love.

Sometimes they were in disguise;

They came in different size.

A friend, family or stranger - they used their face

To guide me from the danger I embrace.

A courageous act or just the right word

A tiny thought of kindness, I have heard;

Made all the difference

I'm sure you have them too; hence,

    Thank you for being an Angel in my life!

A Line in the Sand

Sometimes we come to a point

Where we find a line in the sand.

God with thy presence please anoint;

For a decision we need your guiding hand.

Much like Travis*, we're here to stay;

To cross the line for victory or death.

It's insurmountable odds, they say;

Or do we run away and see what's left?

The time has come, my friend;

To stand for honor and dignity,

To fight with heart, body and soul, my strength, I lend.

Let's cross over and see our destiny.

It's easier when we put our self in God's hand

To make a wise decision

When we reach that line in the sand,

And give all the honor and glory for the  vision.

*.William B. Travis (an  American with Scot blood) was the commander at the Alamo in 1836 in Texas who drew a  line in the sand with his sword asking his men to cross the line and fight for freedom - victory or death!

I Believe in Angels

I believe in Angels, there presence is everywhere

in the warmth of a helping hand, in the smiles that people share.

Angels are at the heart of the good things people do.

and when our days are troubled, their caring guides us through.

Angels' love is all around-in stars that light the night;

in a Mother's gentle words and arms that hold you tight.

I believe that Angels are special messengers of love,

God's way of making earth a bit more like heaven above.
