Forgotten Reminders

Close the door, because it's cold outside,
Sit down any place you choose,
Pour yourself a drink and relax a bit,
While I light the fire with yesterdays news.
How was your journey?
Did your train get in on time?
I hear they've gone on strike,
On the Eastern County line.
Have you seen our friends,
that we used to know at school?
Does your mother still sit on that old three legged stool?
Have you seen Julia? You know I had to choose
Still I guess that's just yesterdays news
It's so nice to see you, it's been the longest time,
It's nice to know the old town's still the same,
I know your face is familiar, I apologize,
But I still can't remember your name
