Well, being inspired by JuvenileHi's diary, I decided to do something similar here. Of course, I won't be as funny as he is, but I'll do my best. :)
Yesterday I quit my job at Big Lots. I was a stockperson and lately I was moved to the recovery shift because they fired almost the entire recovery crew. (Recovery is picking up all the stuff the customers throw around, straightening the aisles, condensing stock, etc.). The Big Lots I was working at is closing down and everything there is 50% off (so if you're reading this and it's before mid-January of 1998, you might want to rush out to the Northville Big Lots and get what you can), so it's really hectic. I also wasn't too happy with some of my coworkers or managers. (Trust me, I'm restraining myself from going into detail because I still want a good recommendation...:)
Anyway, yesterday I had enough. I cleaned out my locker, I called up my dad and asked him to come pick me up (I don't have a driver's license yet, but I will soon!), I told a few people why I was angry (with more or less detail...there's a lot to be angry about as far as I'm concerned), and then I left.
Now... now I'm kind of scared. Big Lots is the only place I've ever really worked. And even though it wasn't exactly what I went to school for, I loved it, and it was safe. However, it's not the kind of job you want to do forever. So now... now I'm delving into the wide world of job hunting. God save me. :)
More on my "adventures" later!
