Below are a list of pagan related links (plus
a few handy general internet links) which I have found useful in the past.
If you find a link on here which is out of date, or have another site which
you feel would be relevant to include on this page, please don't hesitate
to contact me by clicking on the link below...
Please don't forget to bookmark this site before you take off!!!
The
British Druidic Order
Although a Druidic site, the information contained
within it's pages are worth a look whatever path you follow. It is
the official site for the BDO, and contains a variety of interesting articles,
together with details on joining the Order, the BDO events list, and a
nice little magazine (the Druid's Voice).
Pagan
Path
A really nice site for just browsing through,
picking up hints and tips along the way. Although not included in
the relevant sections (frankly because I personally don't feel the services
are good enough to warrant reccommending), they also offer E-Greeting Cards
and Books.
UK
Pagan Links
Well, I think the title pretty much says it
all really! Jam packed with all the pagan links you could ever hope
for, together with a quote which really gives me faith that I'm not alone
in my annoyance with being associated with devil worship because of my
faith; "You won't find 'satan' and the 'devil' as Pagans don't believe
in them. If that's what you are looking for try a Christian web site!"
Vernemeton
Initially designed as a specifically Scottish
Pagan site, this site is now being updated to become more globally based.
I find the articles intelligent and well written, and the webmaster is
clearly dedicated to making it a valuable resource site for Pagans across
the world. Definitely one I'd recomment bookmarking.
The Witches'
Voice
Part of the whole Witchvox site, this remains
one of the best, and certainly the biggest, pagan sites I have come across
so far. Overflowing with articles, news, contacts and links for novice
and adept alike. It's heavily American and Wiccan oriented, but still
very much worth a look.
Witches
of the World
Another part of the Witchvox site, this link
provides access to thousands of witches online worldwide. It's simple
and straight forward to navigate, and allows you to essentially take your
pick of where in the world you'd like to talk to someone from. The
UK listings have now grown so large that it runs onto six sections, so
you should have no trouble finding friends in your area!
Amazon
Books
Still, in my opinion, the best online bookstore.
Of all the books I have ordered from there so far (of which there are many!),
no matter how obscure they may be, I can think of only one time when Amazon
couldn't find it for me. As well as having a huge range of books,
I have always found the delivery service to be prompt and efficient, and
their attention to detail when it comes to customer care has proved first
rate.
Mesmerize
A wonderful shop, full of hundreds of glorious
goodies to tempt the eye! My latest tarot deck came from this shop,
and I have to say that they bent over backwards to find me the deck I wanted
when other stores would have given up. With knowledgeable owners,
fabulous service, and a wide range of stock, this award winning shop is
definitely well worth a visit.
Wyrd Shop
Although I have no direct experience of purchasing
from this store, it came to me via several personal recommendations from
various trusted friends, and I don't think it's going to be long before
I give in to temptation and start spending there! Based in Edinburgh,
the products on offer seem attractive, made with care, and sympathetic
to Pagan needs. Also one of the few stores I've seen in posession
of a wide variety of quality inks.
Amy
Brown
The artwork displayed on this site is truly
exquisite. Although somewhat Victorian in it's approach to the fey,
still Amy's work shows such subtlety and grace, and is well worth a look.
Better still, the prints shown are all available to buy, so you can have
a copy in your very own home!
Aon
Celtic Art
Mainly focused on the art of celtic knotwork,
this beautiful site not only leads you step by step through the (remarkably
simple) process of creating your own knotwork, but has a lovely little
online store where you can purchase the artist's work. I have not
yet bought anything from this store, so sadly am unable to vouch for delivery,
etc.
Magickal
Moon
This site houses some wonderful graphics, and
I am eternally grateful to it's owner for the celtic bar and cross used
throughout this site for navigation. His generosity in allowing others
to use his creations on their own websites is rare and wonderful, and I
for one am thankful of his work.
The
Official Capercaillie Site
Capercaillie just have to be one of my all
time favourite bands! My eternal gratitude goes out to the gorgeous
man who first introduced me to them! This site has everything you
could hope for; from information on the band and it's various members,
to pictures, to music clips, to tour dates, to song lyrics... endless hours
of fun! Karen Matheson's voice has to be heard to be believed; truly
the most hauntingly beautiful vocals I have ever heard in my life.
Pagan
Postcards
A fairly large selection of postcards to choose
from; some overtly pagan, some only bearing a tenuous link, but all of
them beautiful.
Lee's
Wiccan Page
The first Pagan I ever got talking to on the
web! Lee's easy going attitude, and quirky sense of humour make this
a lovely site to have a read through, and he does a nice job of explaining
Wicca. I would point out that there's something of a Norse pantheon
bias to the site, so if you wish to attempt his self-dedication ritual,
I'd suggest checking through the information on Gods, Goddesses and pantheons
here first to find out what's appropriate for you.
Pennymoon
This is an absolutely beautiful site, and retail
outlet for Penny's exquisite hand painted pottery, together with a few
other delectations and delights (such as a gorgeous mozaic table, which
I shall probably covet till my dying day!). Designed and created
by a truly lovely women, I definitely recommend a visit.
UK
Circles, Festivals & Events
Yup, it's another Witchvox site folks!!!
This link will take you directly to the events list for the UK, although
they run an events list for basically every country on their list if you
don't live here.
All
Advantage
Get paid while you surf!!! Simply sign
up at the site and download the All Advantage bar (which sits about an
inch high on the bottom of your screen) to your desktop, and start earning!
I have to admit that, at first, I found the ads annoying, but after a while
I didn't even notice it was there. And the cheques come in handy
too!
Localtel
& Screaming.net
This is the phone company I switched to from
BT. You get to keep all the standard services of a normal BT line,
but their general call rates are very much lower, and off peak internet
calls are absolutely free. You also get to keep your BT number, and
I have to say that the transferral couldn't have been easier.
Universal
Currency Converter
This is a really handy one to have around if
you're buying anything from the web as, more often than not, a lot of the
prices seem to come in Dollars, not Pounds. All you need to do is
select the appropriate currencies, type in the amount quoted, and it does
the conversion to pounds for you.
